“The Poison Tree” Gets a Promotional Image

The first promotional image from “The Poison Tree” has been released, featuring Matthew Goode alongside co-stars MyAnna Buring (Karen) and Ophelia Lovibond (Biba). Matthew will be playing Rex in the two-part television adaptation of Erin Kelly’s novel. Check out a summary below:

“The Poison Tree” follows translator Karen Clarke, a haunted woman who will go to extraordinary lengths to protect her family and the secrets that she keeps from them. Brief flashbacks to the past will tell Karen’s story; that of an ordinary girl thrown into an extraordinary world, as Karen first meets the glamorous Biba and her brother Rex in one long summer of love, but quickly becomes tangled up in their tragic family history with the romantic idyll turning into a nightmare – one that haunts her to the present day.

“The Poison Tree” will air on ITV1 on December 10th at 9pm.
